The 2008 Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition resulted in a number of awards for Childress Vineyards. In all, Childress wines received 39 honors. Out of these honors, the 2005 Reserve Chardonnay was awarded Best Barrel Fermented Chardonnay and the 2007 Trio was named the Best Dry White Proprietary Blend. The Trio received so much praise that this unique blend sold out early in the summer, but the 2005 Reserve Chardonnay is still available for purchase.
